Seanad Éireann - Volume 191 - 06 November, 2008 Business of Seanad. An Cathaoirleach An Cathaoirleach An Cathaoirleach: I have notice from Senator John Paul Phelan that he proposes to raise the following matter on the Adjournment: The need for the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to indicate his immediate plans to reduce substantially the waiting time for scrutiny of long-term residency applications, currently circa two years from date of application, and if he will consider an amnesty for those who find themselves in this situation. I have also received notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer of the following matter: The need for the Minister for Education and Science to continue the support services grant provided to Protestant fee-paying schools. I have also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter: The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement on the campaign of the National Employment Rights Authority to review the pay and conditions records of employees in the restaurant sector. I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Seanad Éireann 191 Business of Seanad.
