Seanad Éireann - Volume 170 - 23 October, 2002

Business of Seanad.

Ms O'Rourke: What happens now to the ten minutes required for the extra speakers, whom [513]we were delighted to hear? Does the next item eat into Private Members' time?

An Cathaoirleach: Private Members' time begins at 6 o'clock.

Ms O'Rourke: Surely we have eaten into that time. Will the rest of today's proceedings be ten minutes later than scheduled? I am asking for a ruling.

An Cathaoirleach: That is in your hands.

Mr. B. Hayes: It is normal to begin Private Members' time at 6 o'clock. The resumption of Committee Stage of the digital hub Bill will be after 8 o'clock.

Ms O'Rourke: No, Committee Stage is to resume when the House meets after next week's break.

An Cathaoirleach: Private Members' time begins at six o'clock.

Ms O'Rourke: That is fine. I was merely hoping to give ten more minutes to the Bill.
