Seanad Éireann - Volume 168 - 12 December, 2001 Business of Seanad. Mr. Cassidy Mr. Cassidy Mr. Cassidy: I propose an amendment to the Order of Business: “That No. 3 shall resume from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.; No. 5 shall be taken at 9 p.m., with the contributions of spokespersons not to exceed ten minutes and those of all other Senators not to exceed seven minutes and Senators may share time; Nos. 6 and 7 shall be taken at the conclusion of No. 5; and No. 3, if not concluded, shall resume thereafter.” Mr. Manning Mr. Manning Mr. Manning: I regret that those in my group want to continue with business as it was arranged this morning and do not want it disrupted in the way outlined by the Leader. Mr. O'Toole Mr. O'Toole Mr. O'Toole: I must take the same line. We anticipated this earlier and those who have been here all day feel they have given a great deal of commitment to No. 3 and that the debate should continue. This is not an attempt to be unhelpful but Members have made a commitment to follow the Bill through and feel it demonstrates a lack of respect for important legislation. They cannot agree to the amendment. This is not an attempt to be unhelpful. Amendment put. Tá
