An Cathaoirleach An Cathaoirleach
An Cathaoirleach: I have notice from Senator Costello that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to the development of the Old Model School, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.
I also received notice from Senator Raftery of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to take effective measures to prevent the use of illegal drugs in beef production in order to protect our beef sales.
I also received notice from Senator Upton of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to request the EC to act in consort with the rest of the international community to prevent the impending famine in Africa.
I regard the matters raised by Senators Costello, Raftery and Upton as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Costello's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Raftery and Upton may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
