Seanad Éireann - Volume 128 - 01 May, 1991

Business of Seanad.

An Cathaoirleach: I have notice from Senator Costello that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to the development of the Old Model School, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.

I also received notice from Senator Raftery of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to take effective measures to prevent the use of illegal drugs in beef production in order to protect our beef sales.

I also received notice from Senator Upton of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to request the EC to act in consort with the rest of the international community to prevent the impending famine in Africa.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Costello, Raftery and Upton as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Costello's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Raftery and Upton [1178] may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
