Seanad Éireann - Volume 118 - 18 February, 1988

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach: I have notice from Senator Brian O'Shea that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The problems arising for a certain company in proposals of the Department for the Environment in relation to the EC Directive on Containers for Beverages.

I also received notice from Senator Philip Hogan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to examine the serious consequences that her proposed change in the pupil-teacher ratio will have on the pupils and staff of Tullow community school, County Carlow.

I also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:

The need for funding to be provided from the national lottery to the community development association, Muintir na Tíre.

I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Shea, Hogan and Bradford as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator O'Shea's motion [1554] and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Hogan and Bradford may give notice for another day of the matter they wish to raise.
