Seanad Éireann - Volume 117 - 22 October, 1987

Business of Seanad.

[787] An Leas-Chathaoirleach: Do we proceed to the Companies (No. 2) Bill, 1987, now?

Mr. W. Ryan: No. We took all day yesterday to deal with two sections of this Bill. We have gone through 18 sections today in a very short time. Although the Minister for Industry and Commerce is very anxious to come in this evening we decided around lunch time that this Bill would not finish before 4 p.m. Therefore, to be fair to the Opposition — some of whom have left the House — I am afraid we cannot go ahead with the Companies (No. 2) Bill, 1987, today. It will be taken Wednesday next from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach: Many thanks. When is it proposed that the House will sit again?

Mr. W. Ryan: It is proposed that we sit on Wednesday, 28 October 1987 at 2.30 p.m.
