The Committee of Selection has nominated the following Senators to the Special Committee to which the Local Government (Repeal of Enactmens) Bill, 1949, has been referred:

Senators: Joseph W. Bigger, Denis Burke, Patrick Fitzsimons, Frederick Hawkins, Michael Hearne, Frank Loughman, Patrick McCartan, James J. McCrea, John Meighan, Séamus O'Farrell, Edward R.R. Orpen.

In place of Senator Luke J. Duffy, resigned, the Committee of Selection has made the following nominations: [1162] Committee on Procedure and Privileges: Senator John T. O'Farrell.

Committee on Statutory Orders, etc.: Senator Robert M. Burke.

Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills: Senator James J. McCrea.

Ordered: That the report do lie upon the Table.
