Deputy Brian O’Shea asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the reason the owners of smaller fishing vessels are being denied access to the syncrolift at Dunmore East Fishery Harbour, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19177/09]

Deputy Brendan Smith: The Harbour Master at Dunmore East Fishery Harbour Centre has confirmed that the syncrolift is available to the owners of smaller fishing vessels. All requests to use the syncrolift should be directed to his office so that the appropriate arrangements can be put in place.
