This will form part of a suite of schemes which will also include the incentivised scheme for early retirement (ISER) and the shorter working year scheme. These three initiatives were announced by the Minister for Finance in his Supplementary Budget Statement of 7 April 2009. The details of the schemes and the arrangements which will apply in the health sector are being finalised by my Department and it is intended that a circular on the matter will issue to the relevant organisations in the coming week.
