Deputy Charles Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money a political party (details supplied) received from the State, including grants and subventions, each month in 2008 and to date in 2009; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6565/09]

  Deputy Brian Lenihan: An annual allowance is payable to the parliamentary leader of qualifying parties including the Progressive Democrat Party. Payments to the Progressive Democrats totalling €185,080.70 were made in 2008 as follows:
