Deputy David Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children if it is the policy of her Department and the Health Service Executive to issue vouchers to public patients to pay for private therapies if public therapist services are not available; if this system is in operation [173] in each HSE area; the circumstances under which vouchers are issued; the number of vouchers issued and cost of same in each HSE area in 2008; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
