Dáil Éireann - Volume 673 - 29 January, 2009 Written Answers. - Departmental Investigations. Deputy Phil Hogan Deputy Phil Hogan 158 [158] Deputy Phil Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science when the investigation in respect of matters in relation to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2841/09] Deputy Batt O’Keeffe Deputy Batt O’Keeffe Deputy Batt O’Keeffe: The inquiry to which the Deputy refers was established in February 2006 by my predecessor as Minister for Education and Science. However, I wish to draw the Deputy’s attention to the fact that the inquiry is not centred on Ormonde College. Ormonde College is a unit offering a wide range of post-Leaving Certificate Courses under the direction of Co Kilkenny Vocational Education Committee. The inquiry to which the Deputy refers relates to Kilkenny City Vocational School, as set out in the Terms of Reference, a copy of which is attached for your information. In view of the time that has elapsed since the establishment of the inquiry, the inquiry officer has been requested to provide an interim report, as provided for under the Terms of Reference. The Inquiry Officer has informed my officials that he expects to be in a position to furnish an interim report to me by the end of April 2009. Dáil Éireann 673 Written Answers.
