[576] Deputy Seán Sherlock asked the Minister for Health and Children if she will expedite an outpatient clinic appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is on the orthopaedic hip waiting list; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [34529/08]

  Deputy Mary Harney: The management of out-patient waiting lists is a matter for the Health Service Executive and the individual hospitals concerned. Therefore, the Executive is the appropriate body to consider the particular case raised by the Deputy. My Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have the matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
