Deputy Joanna Tuffy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when she expects the construction of the new Bord Iascaigh Mhara offices in Clonakilty, County Cork to be completed; the number of BIM staff to be decentralised to Clonakilty; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7536/08]

Deputy Mary Coughlan: I am advised that the new offices for Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) in Clonakilty will be completed in March 2009. The number of staff from BIM to be decentralised to Clonakilty is 93. The construction of the new BIM Headquarters in Clonakilty is proceeding on schedule. BIM Board and management are working to prepare for the full decentralisation of the BIM Headquarters in line with Government Policy.
