Ms Burton asked the Minister for Finance if there are proposals to take account of inflation and conduct a review of the payment for children aged under six announced in budget 2006; and if [1390] he will make a statement on the matter. [9527/07]

  Mr. Cowen: In the normal course of events, the practice is to review various payment support arrangements, such as the Early Childcare Supplement, in the run up to the annual Estimates and Budget, taking account of all relevant factors such as inflation and other changing circumstances.
