Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education and Science the total amount paid in terms of fees or expenses for the appointment of press or public relations consultants from outside her Department for each year since 2002; the firms appointed and the specific project or responsibility for which they were engaged; and if she will make a statement on the matter.   Ms Hanafin:The total amount paid for fees and expenses for the appointment of public relations from outside my Department from the year 2002 to date is €153,021.96. This comprises the award of two public relations consultancies in this period.
