  217. Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he or his Department have had discussions with Kildare County Council in regard to the completion of drainage and cleaning works at the Slate River, Allenwood, County Kildare; when it is intended the works will resume; and if he will make a statement on the matter.   Mr. Roche: I understand that drainage works were carried out in Allenwood, County Kildare, in 2003 by the Office of Public Works as agents for Kildare County Council. My Department had no function in these works nor is it in any discussions with the council about them.
