  201. Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the request of persons (details supplied) who wish to remain here will be reviewed in view of the representations from their school authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38369/05]

  Mr. McDowell: A deportation order was signed in respect of the first person concerned on 13 December 2004 and the second person concerned on 18 November 2005. On examination of further representations received in regard to these cases, I have now decided as an exceptional measure to revoke their deportation orders and grant them temporary leave to remain for a period of 12 months with their cases being reviewed at the end of that period. The individuals concerned will be notified of my decision shortly.
