[1407]   486. Mr. Gogarty asked the Minister for Education and Science if her attention has been drawn to the accommodation crisis currently being experienced by a school (details supplied) in County Wicklow and that the numbers of children attending the school in September 2006 will be sufficient to allow for the appointment of another teacher; if her attention has further been drawn to the fact that in order to facilitate this additional capacity extra classrooms are required; if additional classrooms will be provided in the coming months; and if she will make a statement on the matter.   Ms Hanafin: The school planning section of my Department has received an application for major capital funding from the management authority of the school to which the Deputy refers to cater for its accommodation needs into the future. The application has been assessed in accordance with the published prioritisation criteria for large scale building projects. Progress on the proposed works is being considered in the context of the schools building and modernisation programme from 2006 onwards.
