Ms O’Sullivan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of persons waiting for a mammogram at the breast clinic at the Mid-West Regional Hospital; the [1290] average waiting time for a mammogram at this clinic; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Mr. Blaney asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if she will take remedial action to facilitate breast screening for women in the south, west and north west many of whom have been referred by their general practitioners for a mammogram and are still waiting; her views on whether this is acceptable; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputies’ questions relate to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004.
