Mr. Fleming asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the amount of funding provided to an organisation (details supplied) from funds voted to her Department in 2005; the funding level which will be made available to this organisation in 2006; and if she will make a statement on the matter.   Mr. T. O’Malley: The Deputy’s question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.

Mr. Cregan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if, further to her announcement of capital funding for the provision of an Alzheimer’s unit for St. Ita’s Hospital, Newcastle West, County Limerick she can confirm when tenders will be invited by the Health Service Executive for same; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
