724. Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding site acquisition to meet requirements of alternative and new school facilities at a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [33252/05]

Ms Hanafin: The property management section of the Office of Public Works, which acts on behalf of my Department with regard to site acquisitions generally, has identified a possible site for the new national school referred to by the Deputy. A technical assessment has been carried out on the site. Due to the commercial sensitivity of site acquisitions, it is not proposed to identify specific sites at this stage.
