590. Mr. Grealish asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the status of the sewerage scheme project in Oughterard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30064/05]

Mr. Roche:The Oughterard sewerage scheme is approved for construction in my Department’s water services investment programme 2004 to 2006.

[1035] Galway County Council’s preliminary report for the scheme is being examined in my Department and is being dealt with as quickly as possible. Once the preliminary report has been approved, the council will be in a position to prepare contract documents.
