[294] 431. Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the public appointments made in his Department since the Cabinet reshuffle in September 2004. [2092/05]

Mr. N. Dempsey: The following staff appointed by me during my tenure as Minister for Education and Science have been re-appointed by me in the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources: press adviser; personal assistant; and personal secretary. In addition, the special adviser appointed by me during my tenure as Minister for Education and Science has been reassigned to me at the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources with effect from 30 September 2004. The following staff appointed by the Minister of State at my Department, Deputy Gallagher, during his tenure as Minister of State at the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, have been re-appointed by him in the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources: personal assistant; personal secretary; and two civilian drivers. The information requested by the Deputy on appointments made to the boards of State-sponsored bodies is set out in the following tables.
