Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science, further to Parliamentary Question No. 122 of 13 October 2004, when the special needs assistant will be put in place for a person (details supplied) in view of the fact that they have already missed over 40 hours of tuition; the reason for the delay; the reason that the school principal has never received any acknowledgement of the submission; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Ms Hanafin: My Department has sanctioned a full-time special needs assistant to cater for the care needs of the pupil concerned and the school authorities have been advised accordingly.
