  243. Mr. P. Breen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the reason persons (details supplied) in County Clare were refused the special housing aid for the elderly scheme. [25006/04]

  Ms Harney: The housing aid scheme for the elderly in the Clare area is operated by the Mid-Western Health Board on behalf of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
