  128. Mr. Curran asked the Minister for Education and Science if she will report on the progress being made to provide a new school building for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 22. [23830/04]

Ms Hanafin: The project in question is listed for proceeding to tender and construction as part of the 2004 school building programme. My Department has instructed the management authority of the school to issue a letter of intent to enter into a contract with the lowest contractor. It is expected that work will be commencing on site shortly.

  129. Ms Enright asked the Minister for Education and Science if a school (details supplied) in County Offaly will be included in the five year building plan being drawn up by her Department; [1677] when this building plan will be announced; if the fact that the school has a priority rating of one as an amalgamation will advance it to proceed in 2004-05; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [23831/04]

Ms Hanafin: The school planning section of my Department is currently examining all building projects on hands in line with the project prioritisation criteria that were recently revised in consultation with the education partners. The proposed project at the school to which the Deputy refers is included in this review. I expect to be in a position to provide an update in relation to the progress of individual projects later this year.
