226. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources his Department’s plans to provide broadband to Kenmare town, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15182/04]

Mr. D. Ahern: My Department’s regional broadband programme includes plans to roll out broadband to more than 90 towns with a population of 1,500 and over between now and 2006. Kenmare is one of the towns listed for inclusion.
