  101. Mr. Durkan asked the Taoiseach the total value by species of timber exports in each of the past five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31643/03]

The other wood category is primarily residual. It is possible that, in the light of returns from 2000 onwards, that serious confounding between pine and other wood exists for earlier years.

  The source data in this instance is dominated by Intrastat returns and accordingly may be limited by the reporting threshold, €635,000 for exports, below which traders are not obliged to supply detailed commodity data.
