Ms McManus asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the progress made to date in regard to his Department's comprehensive review of the existing procedures for the monitoring and control of aquaculture generally; when he expects the review to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources (Mr. D. Ahern):The detailed review of the existing process for monitoring, control and enforcement in respect of aquaculture is in progress and will, as necessary, bring forward recommendations for streamlining and strengthening these systems and procedures. The aim is to have the review completed by the end of next January.
