Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Education and Science if St. Brendan's national school, Blennerville, County Kerry, will be provided with emergency temporary accommodation to address the crisis at the school which has already resulted in classrooms having to be evacuated due to rats. Minister for Education and Science (Mr. N. Dempsey): Funding of €48,000 towards temporary accommodation was provided to St Brendan's NS, Blennerville, under the 2003 capital programme and in 2002 my Department grant-aided the purchase of two portable structures which had been rented at the school.
