Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Éamon Ó Cuív): My Department is currently implementing, in conjunction with the various local authorities, a programme of marine works development under the National Development Plan 2000-2006 aimed at improving access to the islands and assisting their development. The current status and actual or estimated cost of each project is outlined in the following table.

Kilronan Pier, Inishmore, County Galway – €21 million.	Preliminary Report complete.
Caladh Mór Pier, Inishmaan, County Galway – €10 million.	Approval given to prepare EIS and Planning and Foreshore Licence Applications.
Inisheer Pier, County Galway – €3 million.	Tenders being sought to prepare Preliminary Report.
Dredging of Inishboffin Harbour, County Galway – €1 million.	Preliminary Report complete. Works to commence and be completed in 2004.
Slipways at Ballycroy (mainland) and at Gob na Dubh on Inishbiggle, County Mayo €0.75 million.	To be completed by end 2003.
Clynish Pier, County Mayo – €0.236 million.	Complete
Clare Island and Inishturk Ferry Piers, County Mayo – €10.9 million.	Tenders for works contract currently being assessed.
Inishlyre Pier, County Mayo – €0.32 million.	To be completed by end 2003.
Inseghort Pier, County Mayo – €0.15million.	Preliminary Report complete.
Roonagh Pier, County Mayo (mainland pier serving Clare Island and Inishturk) – €1.94 million.	To be completed by end 2003.
Coney Island Pier, County Sligo – €0.15 million.	Preliminary Report complete.
Rannach Pier, Arranmore Island, County Donegal €1million.	Preliminary Report complete.
Magheraroarty Pier, County Donegal (mainland pier serving Tory and Inishboffin) – €2.125 million.	To be completed by end 2003.
