363. Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport the action he is taking to ensure a dispute between Irish Rail and Limerick County Council is resolved and thereby to allow the opening of a €4.4 million relief road to Foynes Port; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17481/03]

Minister for Transport (Mr. Brennan): The work on the Foynes level crossing by Iarnród Éireann has been completed and I understand that the legal agreement between Iarnród Éireann and Limerick County Council concerning the crossing was signed on Friday 20 June 2003 and that the road was opened on the same day.
