309. Mr. Gogarty asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason the taxi service for patients at St. Luke's Hospital, Dublin, has deteriorated; and if there are plans to improve this. [12630/03]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): My Department has made inquiries with the Eastern Regional Health Authority with regard to this matter. The ERHA has advised my [993]Department that St. Luke's Hospital has been given no indication by way of complaints or otherwise from patients that this service has deteriorated. The hospital regularly meets with the companies providing the service to ensure its continuous smooth operation.
