[1075]   Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): I propose to take Questions Nos. 317 and 318 together.

  The determination of eligibility of applicants for medical cards is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board. Accordingly, the cases to which the Deputy refers have been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board for investigation and direct reply to the Deputy.
