508. Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be called for a hip operation in Sligo General; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19967/02]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons residing in County Leitrim rests with the North-Western Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
