414. Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Finance if the cleaning of the Mill Race at Green's Bridge, Kilkenny can be arranged. [16177/02]

Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Parlon): At a meeting of the Steering Committee of the River Nore (Kilkenny City) Drainage Scheme held in Kilkenny on 12 September 2002 it was agreed that the Mill Race at Green's Bridge, Kilkenny, would be cleaned out by the Contractor for the Drainage Scheme. The necessary works have now been carried out and were completed on the 30 September 2002.
