  130. Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of reported sexual assaults in public service vehicles in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12707/02]

  Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information requested by the Deputy is not readily available and could not be obtained within the time available for answer. I am further informed, however, that the information is currently being compiled by the Garda Síochána and will be forwarded to my Department when it becomes available. My Department will make the information available to the Deputy in due course.
