  139. Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the contact he has with an organisation (details supplied); if he will make a statement on the aims of the organisation; and the assistance his Department can give this organisation. [12605/02]

  Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): I understand that this organisation was set up in June 1999 and seeks to protect consumer rights to traditional health care in Ireland and that it has been in correspondence with my Department concerning these issues. It has also had contact with the Irish Medicines Board about the interim licensing scheme being formulated by the board for traditional medicines. I am not aware of any specific request for assistance from my Department.
