286. Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Science the status regarding a school extension for Dunkeerin national school, County Offaly; and when he expects work to commence in this matter. [32333/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): Architectural planning for the provision of an extension to Dunkeerin national school is under way. At this stage it is not possible to say when the project will go on site.

287. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the situation regarding funding for the new school [1362] building at Rathpeacon national school, Rathpeacon, County Cork. [32334/01]

288. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science when approval will be given to carry out the major improvements at Rathpeacon national school, County Cork. [32335/01]

Architectural planning in respect of a building project at Rathpeacon national school is nearing completion. At this stage it is not possible to say when the project will go on site.

289. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of schools in Cork city and county which had been given approval for renovations and had the approval withdrawn; and the number of such schools which have been restored to their original position of approval. [32336/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): I am not aware of my Department's building unit having progressed any school renovation projects in Cork city or county in the manner described by the Deputy.

If the Deputy has any queries regarding specific projects in Cork city or county I will be happy to obtain the information for him.
