Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Public Enterprise further to Parliamentary Question [1275] No. 88 of 29 June 2000 and other correspondence relating to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11, the outcome of discussions with the Retired Civil and Public Servants Association, her Department and the Department of Finance in relation to this and other such cases; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Public Enterprise (Mrs. O'Rourke): As I stated in my responses to Parliamentary Question No. 87 of 30 June 1999 and Parliamentary Question No. 88 of 29 June 2000, policy administration in relation to superannuation arrangements of former employees of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs who transferred to Telecom Éireann, now Eircom, on vesting day is essentially within the remit of that company. I understand that the matter referred to by the Deputy is currently being examined by the Minister for Finance, in consultation with Eircom.
