79. Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if funding will be made available in respect of a project (details supplied) in County Cork. [32356/01]

Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Cowen): The cultural relations committee examined the application for funding for the project concerned at its meeting of 8 November. The committee did not recommend that the project be given funding by the Department. The cultural relations committee is an independent body which advises on the disbursement of grants from the allocation for cultural relations abroad of the Department.
