429. Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science if the Office of Public Works have been successful in purchasing a site for a new national school in Kill, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31855/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): The property management section of the Office of Public Works has been asked to report on the possibility of acquiring a site for a new national school in Kill, County Kildare. When this report has been received, the matter will be considered further.

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): An application has been received for grant aid towards a proposed project at St. Laurence's national school, Sallins. My Department will be in contact with the school authorities as soon as possible.
