182. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate a situation whereby the South-Western Health Board has placed quotas on the number of cervical smears which can be carried out. [31401/01]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): The information sought by the Deputy regarding cervical smear testing in the South-Western Health Board Area is not readily available. My Department has, therefore, written to the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority seeking details on this issue. [684] This information will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
