159. Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position regarding a new Garda station (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29362/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I understand the Office of Public Works expects to be in a position shortly to sign the contract that will allow the Garda move from their existing, temporary, accommodation to their new, permanent, location within the town. That office will sign the contract and proceed with the transaction as soon as certain, necessary, legal requirements have been concluded.
