92. Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance the cuts in estimates for 2002 for Departments he has sought from ministerial colleagues; when he expects that the Book of Estimates will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25341/01]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): The Deputy will appreciate that discussions on the Estimates for 2002 are ongoing at present. It would not be appropriate for me to comment on these discussions in advance of decisions being finalised by Government.

It is my intention to publish the abridged Estimates volume as usual in November.
