Written Answers. - Departmental Budget.
Mr. Crawford Mr. Crawford
129. Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Health and Children the annual budget given to his Department for each of the past five years; the amount of funding spent on the restructuring or extension of Monaghan General Hospital in each of those years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24417/01]
Mr. Martin Mr. Martin
Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): The funding made available to my Department in respect of the past five years is as follows:
The figures for the years 1997 to 2000 represent the expenditure outturn for these years, while the 2001 figure represents the Estimate as published in the Revised Estimates.
As the allocation of capital funding to Monaghan General Hospital for the years in question was primarily a matter for the North Eastern Health Board, I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to furnish direct to you details of all such funding made available to the hospital.
