381. Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of convictions secured for the sale of drugs in the Carlow/Kildare division in 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22767/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I am informed by Garda authorities that there were 72 convictions for the sale of drugs in the Carlow/Kildare division in 2000.
