Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 145 of 10 October 2000, he will indicate the plans he has in place to implement the Statutory Instruments in the Waste Management (Farm Plastics) Regulations 2001; if he will clarify the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of the Environment and Local Government (Mr. D. Wallace): My Department has recently completed the review of the Waste Management (Farm Plastic) Regulations, 1997 indicated in the reply to Question No. 145 of 10 October 2000. This review was carried out over the past six months in consultation with all relevant interests. Arising from it, my Department is now finalising proposals which I will consider with a view to making amended regulations within the next few weeks.
