110. Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the completion of the outer ring road at Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17572/01]

Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey): My Department has approved funding to a total of £9.375 million over the period 2001-04 for the Waterford outer ring road under the scheme of road grants to facilitate housing and other related developments. A sum of £650,000 of this has been allocated in 2001.
